About

It’s a sad fact that there are thousands of mountain bikes seeking new homes. Lovely old bikes that, given the chance, are still more than capable of putting a smile on your face or making your bum twitch.

Often, they’re neglected because their owners are simply unable to care for them.

Other times, they’re victims of cruelty and abuse – locked in sheds, confined to the darkest corners of garages, left outdoors with no shelter, or hidden away in basements, and forgotten about.

Sydney Mountain Bike Rescue is one man (with too much spare time on his hands) dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of some of these pre-1996 mountain bikes.

This blog exists mainly as an archive … but also because people kept telling me ‘You should start a blog!’
